keith and colin from makerbot Industries came by the nooka lab today to set us up with our very own makerbot! makerbot industries is a brooklyn based startup founded in 2009 that produces an open source 3d printer to democratize manufacturing.
makerbot industries has a thriving online community at thingiverse.com where users can post digital design files, document their designs, and collaborate on open source hardware. the site is not limited to makerbot owners, but also for anyone with a digital fabrication device.
we are excited to get creative and start working with our makerbot – check out our first print and look out for a collab in the future!
